After graduating high school in 1987, Stephan Roeder became a production manager for DEFA Documentary Film Studios in Berlin. From 1990-1996 he studied film and television economics at the Babelsberg College of Film and Television, and has worked since graduation as an independent producer and author for ARD, ZDF, Deutsche Welle, Sat 1, RTL and others. Roeder was nominated for the European film prize, the Felix, in 1991. In 1992 he took part in an EU film seminar for young East German movie producers. Roeder has specialized in musical events, working with BMG Hansa Music Production, Monopol Records, and others, has been part of the official TV team for fifty sports broadcasts for the EHC Eisbären Berlin, and has produced advertising films for BMW, Musima, Multiart, Lipro GmbH and others.
